Mindfulness

“Mindfulness is paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non judgmentally.” – Jon Kabat Zin

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” – Viktor E. Frankl

“Paying attention here and now, with kindness and curiosity, and then choosing your behavior.” – Amy Saltzman

“Mindfulness creates space…replacing impulsive reactions with thoughtful responses.”

Mindfulness is simply being aware of what’s happening right now without wishing it were different.” – James Baraz

Mindfulness Meditation for Adults

This Mindfulness Meditation group is meant for those who are curious about or have never practiced meditation and for individuals who have more experience but are looking to connect with a local community to sit with. Randi Jo will offer a clear understanding of what mindfulness is, provide simple tools to bring into your life, short talks, gentle movement, guided practices and Q & A. You'll learn how to take the teaching off the cushion/mat in order to cultivate your own home practice and bring mindfulness into your day.

Mindfulness is: “Paying attention here and now, with kindness and curiosity, and then choosing your behavior.” – Amy Saltzman.
